Anza adds energy storage systems to procurement platform

Anza Energy Storage Shopping

Buyers of large-scale energy storage systems (ESS) can now compare over 20 ESS products on Anza’s solar + storage purchasing platform. Anza provides a market-wide view of ESS and solar products in seconds, so developers and EPC contractors can essentially compare purchases and view critical data needed to evaluate storage product pricing over the life of a project.

“Project developers and procurement professionals are faced with an increasing number of factors they must consider when evaluating an energy storage project, and the lack of real-time pricing for all the different product options and configurations slows decision making and increases risk,” says Mike Hall, CEO of Anza.

Anza was established as an independent company in May 2023, founded by a team (previously with Borrego) with many years of experience in renewable energy development, procurement and construction. Since launch, the Anza platform has facilitated the assessment of over 35 GW of solar and 75 GWh of energy storage across over 1,000 projects.

Earlier this year, Anza expanded its solar product and contractor data collection to help buyers make optimal decisions about their projects. In this episode of The Pitch, we watched a demonstration of the advanced features of purchasing Anza solar modules:

Traditionally, engineers and procurement specialists spend hours manually sifting through product and pricing data from multiple suppliers. Obtaining the required master data from even several vendors can take weeks and months.

Anza’s effective $/W analysis allows users to go far beyond price comparisons and quickly compare products based on risk, manufacturing and installation costs. With solutions for the utility and distributed generation markets, Anza’s vision is to help every buyer quickly make optimal purchasing decisions.

With the Anza IPP energy storage procurement platform, developers and engineers now have the ability to instantly compare AC and DC energy storage systems (ESSs). Anza is also leveling the playing field somewhat by expanding its offerings, allowing buyers large and small to access suppliers and comprehensive pricing data that were previously out of reach.

“The Anza platform allows us to evaluate multiple energy storage products and PCS configurations in seconds,” said James Beach, co-founder and managing partner of EnerSmart Storage. “With Anza’s technical and commercial expertise, partnering with them in this rapidly growing market is an obvious choice.”
