Samsung One UI 6.1 AI update officially arrives in the US for the Galaxy S22 series and more

After a false start with the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung is now following up with the update by officially announcing its US rollout for the device and more. As part of the update, Samsung is bringing AI-powered features to more of the Galaxy ecosystem, expanding access to Galaxy AI to more devices.

These AI features focus on improving communication, streamlining tasks, and increasing productivity. For example, Interpreter makes traveling easier by offering translation services that turn speech into text on compatible foldable devices. Live Translate helps you break down language barriers by instantly translating voice and text during phone calls. Chat Assist even offers context-aware suggestions for improving your conversational tone and supports translating messages in different contexts. Samsung also provides features to help you stay organized and productive. Browsing Assist can translate and summarize web articles, while Note Assist simplifies note-taking with automatic formatting and summarization tools. Transcription Assistant uses artificial intelligence and speech-to-text tools to help you transcribe voice recordings and create meeting summaries. Additionally, the Circle to Search with Google feature simplifies online searches and interactions on social media platforms.

Moreover, Google’s “Circle to Search” feature, the golden child of AI features that debuted this year, will be available on the Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3 series. Chat Assist will also be part of this update.

Samsung’s decision to expand the availability of AI features to older devices is a welcome update for owners of these smartphones and tablets. We hope that no issues will arise with this rollout and Samsung users will be able to enjoy a smooth experience with all the minor improvements.
