St. Mary’s Parish School Board votes to support lawsuit against new Title IX regulations – KQKI News

On May 9, 2024, members of the Board of Directors of the Parish of St. Mary participated in the meeting of the School Board.
voted to support a lawsuit challenging the new Title IX regulations, brought by
Louisiana Department of Education and Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murril. Lawsuit
argues that the new regulations could conflict with Louisiana state laws that prohibit use
bathrooms and locker rooms when it comes to biological sex. Participating in gender-specific activities
sports teams are also a problem.
