The California Aquarium is releasing a new game that helps you interact with marine life

The Monterey Bay Aquarium Institute has released a new interactive mobile phone designed to teach users about marine life. The app is called “Fathomverse” and is a free game for all mobile devices. Organizers say the game will allow users to discover and learn about the various marine organisms that live in the ocean from the comfort of their own home. MBARI says the game was a collaboration between multiple agencies that helped develop the app, including a partnership with the Monterey Bay Aquarium. What we’re trying to do is invite more people to participate. We would love for people to help us in this entire quest to ultimately observe and understand all life in the ocean,” said Kakani Katija, an engineer at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Institute. Katija added that while using the app, users can interact with each other, facing specific challenges and discoveries. “Fathomverse” can be found in the app store and Google Play.
