IRSA releases 185,600 cusecs of water

ISLAMABAD, May 11 (APP): Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Saturday released 1,85,600 cusecs of water from various shore stations against an inflow of 2,33,000 cusecs.
According to data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus river at Tarbela barrage was 55.54 feet, which was 55.54 feet higher than the dead level of 1,398 feet. The inflow and outflow of water through the dam was recorded as 55,700 cusecs and 40,000 cusecs respectively.
The water level in the Jhelum river at Mangla barrage was 317.50 feet, which was 120.50 feet higher than its dead level of 3,000 meters. Water inflow and outflow were recorded as 73,700 cusecs and 42,000 cusecs, respectively.
Water release in Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 97,300, 59,100, 41,000 and 11,900 cusecs respectively. Similarly, in the case of Kabul River, a total of 72,100 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 22,000 cusecs was released from Chenab River at Marala.
